The girl with the most genuine smile! I kept saying it over and over again during her session, but Makensey just has one of those smiles that makes you want to smile. 

Makensey wanted lots of fall color and a country/outdoor vibe. Because of this, we met at one of my FAVORITE locations right in my neck of the woods. I say this all the time too, but we have such beautiful locations for photos right in our backyard. While I love traveling with clients all over God's creation, I think we are too quick to dismiss the beauty that is right in our local area. Makensey trusted me to bring her vision to life and I think we were blessed with an absolute magical evening nearby. 

We had it all-- the creek, the woods, the field, the sunset, the fall leaves, the ridge, the view and more. In addition, the beautiful sunset portraits that you see with the gorgeous view were taken right near my home. Aside from my own engagement photos... this is the first time pictures have been taken here! This certainly needs to change!

Now, Makensey is absolutely beautiful. Her smile, her hair, her adorable outfits.... everything was so perfect for her portraits. Hot pink is not often a color my seniors choose for fall.... but I think I need to suggest it more often! It was AWESOME with the fall color! And then, her rust colored shacket and black jeans just gave me all the cozy and fun fall vibes. 

We explored each location to the fullest, laughed while trying to capture candids, and were in awe of everything that made the perfect senior portrait session. 

I am so excited to capture the other half of Makensey's portraits in the spring. In our conversations, she shared that she is considering attending post secondary education to either become a physician's assistant or a dental hygienist. I can certainly see her providing the utmost care and comfort to her patients and doing it all with that sweet smile of hers. She is a Southern Huntingdon County High School senior and a student of the Huntingdon County Career and Technology Center.
