EMILY!
As one of my first senior sessions of the year, Emily sure did bring it all! I had the privilege of capturing her sweet sister's senior portraits last year.... and this year, Emily joined the PPP crew!
First off, we had a blast. Both of Emily's sessions had either rain, or impending rain. Typically, a rainy day is NOT a photographer's friend. However, I do love me an overcast day for capturing some magic. (Just without the rain). But, Emily understood the assignment and made the most of her rainy session days. I've always wanted to bring out my clear umbrella with my seniors--and I got to do that with Emily!
Emily's first session was at the Mount Nittany Winery. The folks at the winery were SO accomodating and sweet. If you've never been to the Mount Nittany Winery, you should take a trip there. It was rainy and overcast, but we had fun exploring their venue.
Her second session was at one of my FAVORITE places to photograph portraits at--the Penn State Arboretum! It is incredible to me that every time I go to the arboretum, there are different flowers every single time. Literally, I captured Emily's sister's portraits around the same time in July last year at the arboretum. The flowers present at Emily's session were drastically different than last year!
And, I have to say... I LOVE Emily's style. She chose a cute black dress for the winery (Every young lady needs a little black dress!) Its a staple in the wardrobe! And, she had two fun dresses for the arboretum. If I can guide a senior at all when it comes to outfits, my best advice is to wear the dang outfit! Be bold, be fun, be cute, and be YOU!
AHHH, writing all of this gets me so excited about Emily's senior portraits. Emily is the sweetest human and I know she will make her positive mark on this world in the future. I am blessed to have captured her beautiful smile and personality this year and I look forward to capturing more images of Emily throughout the year as a member of my PPP model team.
You rock Emily! Shine bright and enjoy your senior year!
