Have you ever scheduled senior portraits.... but had no idea where to have them taken at? Don't worry.... we've got you!
This past week, Chloe and I went for an adventure to check out three more locations to add to our recommended list. With Chloe's individual senior session coming up in just a few days, I thought I would save the unique blog for her session's images and do something fun and helpful for this one!
Here at Priceless Pixels Photography, we have taken the guesswork out of location planning for you! As a Priceless Pixels Photography client, you will receive our exclusive location guide to help make a decision on your chosen locations. This guide is over 40 pages long, full of all the locations we know and recommend. The guide contains sample images, details about each location, as well as the features located at each spot.
Now you may be thinking... well the guide sounds great! But, how do I know which locations to choose? Great question! Below are three simple questions to ask yourself to help narrow down your location choices.
1) First and foremost.... How many locations are accommodated in your package? Do you want a similar feel for multiple locations or something entirely different? The number of locations stated in your package should help you decide the variety of locations that you would like. And when it doubt, always choose your most desired location first!
2)What is your vision? We all have that picture-perfect Pinterest board! What locations are you drawn to? Do you envision fairy tale sunsets, wispy fields, glowing water, woods, an urban vibe--or anything in between? Maybe you want your locations to be drastically different.. or pretty similar, and that's okay! We can do both! Just remember to match your locations to your vision. For example, if you want murals, fun colors, lots of texture, pillars and brick walls, urban or town locations are right up your alley. Likewise, if you want wildflowers and wide open spaces... a town location is not the best choice. Our location guide lays out the features of each location to give you a good idea of what we'll explore there. And don't worry about the order of locations. We will align this for you with the lighting conditions of each location.
3) Think about distance. How far are you willing to travel to get to your location? We travel just about anywhere, but we do have to be mindful of time of day, how busy a location may be, and timing in between locations to maximize your session time. If you don't mind having an hour and a half drive back home after your session, any of our locations are fair game (all locations in the guide are within 1.5 hours of Three Springs, PA). But, if you would like a location a little closer to home, search the guide or think about places that are a little more in your desired radius.
Along with distance, not only do you want to consider how far you are willing to travel, but also consider the distance between your locations. I don't mind driving from one place to another, but I do want to make sure they are close enough that we get ample time at all locations when the lighting is best! So, if you are going to more than one location, be sure to choose ones that are 5-20 minutes apart.
Now, that was a quick overview of how to choose a location that is best for you. We know you still may be on the fence, and that's okay! We love to have conversations about your locations and get to the point of choosing ones that are perfect for you! And, when we are about one-four weeks out from your session, we reach out to discuss what you're thinking when it comes to locations.
Also, we are always open to checking out new locations! Just reach out to our email at pppbymikara@gmail.com and we will be in touch!
