This session was an ABSOLUTE joy and filled my cup SO much!
Bailey and her momma were so sweet and fun. I could go on and on about how genuine and kind Bailey is. She has the sweetest personality and it showed through in every image. We laughed and had fun all the way through.
We started at Country Joy Flowers, which was a quaint small family business. In full transparency, I thought I was at the wrong place. I pulled up the driveway and did not see flowers at first. I rounded the corner and there they were. Just rows and rows of beautiful flowers--all different varieties, colors, shapes and sizes. It was so private and peaceful there... makes me want to start a flower farm. Just kidding. That would be cool, but I don't think my significant other would be too happy (LOL). But, Bailey, her mom and I had the whole place to ourselves to capture some beautiful images.
Originally, we were to do Bailey's session in June, but we had to reschedule due to severe thunderstorms. But, I sure am glad that we rescheduled so that the entire palette of summer flowers were in bloom, from hydrangeas to sunflowers!
And, you know, it makes me laugh because a flower farm is a great example of how you only need a few flowers to make it look like you are in a huge field. Full disclosure, there were only like 20 sunflowers blooming, but the right angle makes it look like a full field! I love it! And, Bailey was brave enough to give the sun hat a try, too. I think she is glad that she did! Sometimes a little accessory really amplifies your images, and gives you some new, fun looks!
I could go on and on. The flower farm was beautiful and I sincerely thank the family of Country Joy for opening their farm for photographs. If you're ever near Elizabethtown, stop by!
From there, we travelled about 15 minutes away to the Masonic Village. I followed Bailey and her Mom to the location and I thought I was going to get lost because I was gawking too much. This. Place. Is. Incredible.
The Masonic Village is a beautiful campus of old buildings, gardens, water, and some of the most well-kept flowers I've ever seen! We stopped at the formal gardens and captured Bailey's contagious smile with all of the flowers, fountains, staircases, and stone work. This whole place was magical.... it even smelled like chocolate! No lie. The nestle plant is super close. I found myself saying often "How does a place like this even exist?" and "This is incredible!" This location paired with Bailey's natural beauty was absolute magic!
We captured some fun images at the Masonic Village and we ended the evening capturing some photos with Bailey's volleyball and jersey. I *may* have stood on a pillar to capture one of my favorite images of Bailey--but it was worth the risk! I love how her school colors matched the road and really tied everything together.
Okay, I'm gonna hop off my soap box now. I cannot fully express how fun and incredible this senior session was. Bailey was the best to work with and I am so glad that she chose PPP to capture this sweet moment of life for her and her family. Bailey is a senior at Northern Lebanon High School in Lebanon County, a member of the FFA, plays volleyball and softball and plans to attend college to become an occupational therapist in the future.
Bailey, enjoy your senior year! Use that smile and sweet personality of yours to change the world. (I know you will!) You rock!
